Achieving SDGsSDGs Initiatives

We, the HOUSING OKURA Group, will contribute to the realization of the international goals (SDGs) described in the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015.

  • ▪Japanese Red Cross Society

We are in general agreement with the basic philosophy of the Japanese Red Cross Society, which is active in a wide range of fields including medicine, blood donation, and welfare. We believe that this philosophy is best served by donations.

  • ▪UNICEF

We support the vision of UNICEF, which works to protect the rights of all children through health, education, water, sanitation, and other activities, and provide support through donations.

  • ▪Health Support for Employees

We believe that the health of all employees, both physically and mentally, is beneficial to the company’s development. We are therefore committed to supporting their health through measures such as a 100% health check-up rate, subsidies for influenza vaccination costs, and a special leave system for vaccination against new strains of coronavirus.

  • ▪Promotion of non-smoking

From the standpoint of health and the environment, we are striving to encourage non-smoking by taking steps to separate smoking and passive smoking at all business sites and by establishing non-smoking hours.

  • ▪Qualification Acquisition Support System

Housing Okura provides subsidies for planning and research expenses related to work and supports the acquisition of qualifications to improve each employee’s self-improvement and market value.

  • ▪In-house seminars

We hold in-house seminars on the knowledge necessary for planning.

  • ▪Promotion of paid leave

We actively promote the use of paid leave, aiming to secure a 70% utilization rate for all employees every year.

  • ▪Internal Initiatives

In order to protect the global environment and combat climate change, we are implementing the “Cool Biz” campaign and paperless office documents, and we are actively practicing ethical consumption of office supplies and other items.

  • ▪Initiatives in the Condominium Development Business

We are pleased to announce that we are actively promoting greening by planting trees in all of our condominium development projects. We are also working to reduce environmental impact by introducing LED lighting to reduce electricity consumption.

  • ▪Creating a Community Where People Can Continue to Live

Housing Okura places particular emphasis on carefully examining the land that forms the foundation of its buildings. This is done with the aim of providing safe, long-lasting living spaces that are resistant to natural disasters. Buildings are planned with the goal of being not only earthquake- and fire-resistant due to their RC construction, but also taking local characteristics into consideration.

  • ▪Compliance

We are proud to say that each and every one of our employees is committed to compliance and ensures that all laws, regulations, and company rules related to our business are observed. In all our business activities, we endeavor to adhere to the principles of integrity as set forth in the Housing Okura Code of Conduct.

  • ▪Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces

We are committed to maintaining a positive and constructive relationship with all parties and to conducting our transactions in a transparent and ethical manner.

  • ▪Risk Management

We strive to manage risk from all angles by seeking the insights of external experts, including our legal counsel.
